Franklin Classical was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 11th to ninth in Middle Tennessee (8 Man). Earlier in the week, the Knights triumphed over the Knights 66-26.
The Webb School extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Pleasant View Christian, 48-12. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Franklin Christian Academy's dynamic duo of KC Jorgensen and Alex Deits proved tough for South Haven Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jorgensen threw for 178 yards and one touchdown and Deits had 155 yards receiving. Aaron Thon helped Franklin Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 18 yards.
Josh Owens made the biggest impact on defense this week as St. Andrews-Sewanee defeated Middle Tennessee Heat. The 6-foot-0 senior recorded one fumble.
Kendall Kinslow was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 263 yards on 19 carries as the Mountain Lions fell to South Haven Christian. Teammate J R Clay added to the ground attack by rushing for 117 yards.
Franklin Christian Academy's Jorgensen and Deits have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Middle Tennessee (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Jorgensen has thrown for 1671 yards this season, while Deits, a 5-foot-6 receiver, has 59 catches for 907 yards. St. Andrews-Sewanee's Kinslow leads the league in rushing yards with 1304.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Aaron Academy and Riverside Christian Academy. The Royals comes into the matchup ranked third in the state, while Riverside Christian Academy ranks 10th.
Drew Robison's team's Deits is only 93 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Middle Tennessee Heat.
Christian Community's Cole Chrisman needs only 82 yards against Evangel Christian next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 50 carries Chrisman has accumulated 918 yard this year.
