Hancock Central is 9-0 against Twiggs County since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Hancock Central Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Twiggs County Cobras at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, everything went Hancock Central's way against Johnson County as Hancock Central made off with a 69-43 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hancock Central.
Hancock Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Ingram, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Glover, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Twiggs County waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 61-53 win over Dooly County.
Twiggs County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Pitts out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kamauree Butler, who scored 13 points.
Hancock Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Twiggs County, they pushed their record up to 11-12 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Hancock Central skirted past Twiggs County 43-41 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hancock Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
