Hillsboro won the last time they faced East Alton-Wood River and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hiltoppers came out on top against the Oilers by a score of 2-0.

Kearstynn Davis paced Hillsboro's offense, picking up five kills. Davis got some help from Amya Greenwood and her nine assists. Greenwood also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bailey Chappelear, each putting up two.

Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for East Alton-Wood River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12-1 record this season.
