Rolling Hills Prep put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Everything went their way against the Lennox Academy Panthers as they made off with a 14-0 victory. Jake Levin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Samuel Lopez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Rolling Hills Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Lennox Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Looking ahead, Rolling Hills Prep is taking a road trip to take on New Roads at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lennox Academy, they will be playing at home against Hawthorne at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
