Daniel Lawton was on fire: he rushed for 219 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. Lawton was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
Despite the loss, Bay Path RVT still got an impressive performance from Kaiden Brochu, who rushed for 198 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Brochu is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradyn Downes, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Blackstone-Millville's victory was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points per game. As for Bay Path RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Blackstone-Millville will be playing in front of their home fans against Nashoba Valley Tech at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nashoba Valley Tech will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Bay Path RVT is on the road again on Friday and play against Norwell at 6:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Norwell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bay Path RVT in Massachusetts (Norwell is ranked 46th, while Bay Path RVT is ranked 147th).
