Immaculate hasn't had much luck against Masuk recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mustangs will head out to face off against the Panthers at 4:15 p.m. Immaculate will be strutting in after a win while Masuk will be coming in after a loss.
Immaculate will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Harding on Wednesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Presidents with a sharp 20-4 victory. The game marked the Mustangs' most dominant win of the season.

Maddie Costa made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off four runs, three doubles, and one triple while going 5-for-5. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Norah Whitmore was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Jessica Sposato was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
Immaculate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .658. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Masuk fell victim to New Milford and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Immaculate's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for Masuk, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.
Immaculate couldn't quite finish off Masuk when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 8-6. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
