The Cross County Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bruning-Davenport/Shickley 66-26 at home. Cross County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 27 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cross County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tanner Hollinger, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Wyatt Hengelfelt was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Cross County's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
Cross County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Adams Central at 2:45 p.m. on December 16th. Adams Central is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.2 points per game. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fairbury at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st.
