Vernon scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They were outmatched by the Bethlehem Wildcats and fell 75-39. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

Bethlehem had a senior duo take command as Kason Paul went 7-for-13 en route to 17 points in addition to seven assists and four steals and Justin Miller almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Paul has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kolton Amerson, who posted 15 points and seven boards.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bethlehem, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Vernon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-34 loss against Poplar Springs on the 4th. As for Bethlehem, they have also already played their next matchup, a 90-68 defeat against Chipley on the 5th.
