The Waccamaw Warriors had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Aynor with a sharp 49-25 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Waccamaw has posted since December 6, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waccamaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyrese Haynes, who scored seven points along with seven steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Kettels, who scored nine points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Waccamaw's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Aynor, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waccamaw will take on Dillon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dillon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Waccamaw likes a good challenge. As for Aynor, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Georgetown at 7:30 p.m.
