Football Recap: Ann Sobrato Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Ann Sobrato entered their tilt with Leland on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Chargers. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 31-21 victory the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Brayden Hughes had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 58 yards and two TDs on only seven carries, while also throwing for 150 yards while completing 75% of his passes.

Hughes was just one part of a punishing run game: Ann Sobrato was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. The Bulldogs are a perfect 6-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Although Leland took the loss, they still got scores from Philip Arsintescu and Cole Markos.

Ann Sobrato's record now sits at 6-3. As for Leland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ann Sobrato will take on Willow Glen at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Leland, they will face off against Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
