Baseball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Cornerstone Christian's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Cornerstone Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rangers earlier this season, when they won 14-0.

Ben Frazier was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Steel Hoham, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Santa Rosa Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Christian will challenge The Grove School at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Desert Christian Academy at 3:15 p.m. on April 4.
