The Haines City Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 59-36 loss at the hands of Auburndale. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Haines City has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Haines City had strong showings from Juan Carrasquillo, who scored five points, and Jacob Patterson, who scored four points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carrasquillo has scored all season.
Haines City's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Auburndale, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haines City and Hope Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Hope Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Auburndale, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Winter Haven at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th. Winter Haven will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
