The Jefferson County Tigers lost against the North Florida Christian Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Jefferson County had to suffer through a rough 77-33 loss at the hands of North Florida Christian. Jefferson County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-12.
North Florida Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Freeland, who scored 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Freeland has scored at least 25% of North Florida Christian's points. Korey Rosier was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 steals.
Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Florida Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson County will take on Wakulla Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wakulla Christian School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday. As for North Florida Christian, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Taylor County at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
