Baseball Recap: Bishop Moore Wins Going Away Against Windermere Prep

Bishop Moore won the last time they faced Windermere Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Lakers. Considering the Hornets have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jason Forgey looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Bishop Moore got a massive performance out of Nate Davis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Lomas, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Bishop Moore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windermere Prep only posted a batting average of .211.

Bishop Moore's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Windermere Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Bishop Moore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Windermere Prep, they will take on Cornerstone Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ducks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63 runs per game on average), something the Lakers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
