Basketball Recap: Summit Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Science Skills Center High School for Science, Technology and the Creative Arts

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summit Academy). They breezed by Science Skills Center High School For Science, Technology And The Creative Arts to the tune of 122-53 on Friday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Summit Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justin Rodriguez, who almost dropped a triple-double on 52 points, 11 boards, and nine steals. Those 11 rebounds gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jasper Meissner, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 assists.

Summit Academy pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.6 points. As for Science Skills Center High School For Science, Technology And The Creative Arts, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
