Powers Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jesse Cull led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Connor Kelly was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
De La Salle Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Powers Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
