Chicopee Comp had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They came up short against the West Springfield Terriers, falling 18-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 26-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
Audrey Mosko was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Millie Fidalgo, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
As for West Springfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 7.6 runs per game.
On West Springfield's side, Amelia Bialas made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Bialas was also big at the plate, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, Leila DeJesus was incredible, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Ava Davis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Chicopee Comp will venture away from home to challenge Drury at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Springfield, they will square off against Ludlow at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Terriers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
