The McMichael Phoenix will be playing in front of their home fans against the T.W. Andrews Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, McMichael and Walkertown were almost perfectly matched up, but McMichael suffered an agonizing 28-27 loss.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three matchups, T.W. Andrews finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-7 loss at the hands of Reidsville. T.W. Andrews was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.
McMichael's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for T.W. Andrews, their loss also dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.
McMichael was able to grind out a solid win over T.W. Andrews in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, winning 34-26. Will McMichael repeat their success, or does T.W. Andrews have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
