Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 20 more assists than your opponent, a fact the South View Tigers proved on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 65-23 win over Hoke County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South View also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
South View can attribute much of their success to Zakiera Gaillard, who scored 15 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nahmiah Aekins, who scored 6 points along with 13 assists and 8 steals.
The victory got South View back to even at 2-2. As for Hoke County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Seventy-First the next time they take the court. Hoke County will host Seventy-First at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while South View will host them at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
