The New Oxford Colonials will head out to square off against the Kennard-Dale Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. New Oxford will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times New Oxford and York Suburban had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Colonials blew past the Trojans 10-4 on Monday. The Colonials haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Tristyn Yerka made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Jacob Langkam looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Back at the plate, Luke Frey was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Haifley, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Kennard-Dale came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Rams have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Kennard-Dale let Noah Hoffer and Micah Smith run wild. Hoffer scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Smith scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Smith also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Avery Chenoweth was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Kennard-Dale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
New Oxford's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Kennard-Dale, their record now sits at 7-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. New Oxford has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kennard-Dale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
New Oxford came out on top in a nail-biter against Kennard-Dale when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonials since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
