Baseball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Takes a Loss

Michigan Lutheran fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Our Lady of the Lake Catholic on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Michigan Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Herbst, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Herbst has become a key player for the Titans: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-10 otherwise.

Michigan Lutheran now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-12.

While Michigan Lutheran had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
