The KIPP SF College Prep Phoenix pushed their score all the way to 65 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Casa Roble on the road by a decisive 83-65 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (55), KIPP SF College Prep still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Moses Oginni, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 16 rebounds for Casa Roble. The game was Oginni's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Benny Ambriz, who scored 21 points.
KIPP SF College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Casa Roble, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
KIPP SF College Prep will head out on the road to face off against Rise University Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Casa Roble, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Roseville at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Roseville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
