Madison-Grant is 2-8 against Mississinewa since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The third road match was the charm for Madison-Grant, as they earned their first road win of the season. They put the hurt on Elwood with a sharp 53-33 win on Friday. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as Madison-Grant did.
Madison-Grant had a senior duo take command as Gavin Kelich scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds and Clayton Hull scored 18 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hull has scored at least 25% of Madison-Grant's points. Teagan Yeagy was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Meanwhile, Mississinewa sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 victory over Oak Hill on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mississinewa.
The victory got Madison-Grant back to even at 2-2. As for Mississinewa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Madison-Grant didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Mississinewa in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory.
