The River Dell Golden Hawks were the 54-38 winner over the Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. River Dell took a hard 64-47 fall against Dwight Morrow on Saturday.
River Dell's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Liam Hickey, who scored 17 points along with five assists, and Sean Golden who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Phil Doornheim was another key contributor, scoring four points.
River Dell's loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2. As for Dwight Morrow, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Dell will challenge Fort Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dwight Morrow, they will head out on the road to face off against Tenafly at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
