Two dominant backs in Kip Brigham and Kaiden Rodriguez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Wahoo Warriors will host the Fort Calhoun Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Wahoo's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Logan View/Scribner-Snyder to the tune of 42-0. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked second, while Logan View/Scribner-Snyder are ranked 78th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wahoo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jase Kaminski, who threw for 167 yards and one touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes. What's more, Kaminski racked up 152.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. 113 of Kaminski's passing yards were hauled in by Kaden Christen.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Wahoo proved: they limited Logan View/Scribner-Snyder to a paltry 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Jayse Styskal for the heroic effort on defense: he. Wahoo didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.9.
Meanwhile, Fort Calhoun was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 27-7 margin over Concordia. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won seven in a row.
Fort Calhoun's win came from a few key players Wahoo will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Blake Welchert, who picked up 75 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 84 yards on only eight carries. Adam Elofson was another key player, throwing for 173 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Wahoo's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Fort Calhoun, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Wahoo has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 408.1 total yards per game. However, it's not like Fort Calhoun struggles in that department as they've been averaging 382.9 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Everything came up roses for Wahoo against Fort Calhoun in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 57-7 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
