On Saturday Archmere Academy take on Conrad Science at 12:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close matchup.
Last week, Archmere Academy couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They suffered a grim 14-42 defeat to Dover. Archmere Academy got a solid performance out of senior Devin Houston, who accumulated 114 passing yards and picked up 33 yards on the ground; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Conrad Science took care of business in their home opener. They had just enough and edged out Christiana 22-20. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (16) and coasted on those for the victory.
Conrad Science's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Archmere Academy's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Conrad Science can add another positive mark to their record or if Archmere Academy can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Conrad Science's step.
