The Harding Presidents won the last time they faced the Bassick Lions, and things went their way on Thursday too. Harding blew past Bassick 48-14 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-8.
Ja'Mon Mullen had a dynamite game for Harding, throwing for 201 yards and five touchdowns on only 16 passes. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Hodge, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Harding's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Bassick, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harding will take on Foran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Foran is ranked 104th, while Harding is ranked 109th). As for Bassick, they will head out on the road to face off against Hillhouse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
