The Cambridge Christian Lancers kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 72-29 defeat at the hands of Hollins. Cambridge Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-14.
Despite the loss, Cambridge Christian still got an impressive performance from Andrew Proffitt, who scored 8 points.
Cambridge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hollins, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cambridge Christian will take on Patel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hollins, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Zephyrhills Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. Zephyrhills Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 485th, while Hollins is ranked 118th).
