Basketball Recap: Newman AAA Drops Season-High Score on Non Varsity Opponent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newman AAA). They breezed by Non Varsity Opponent to the tune of 105-62 on Thursday. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 23 points or more this season.

Newman AAA's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Louis O'Keefe led the charge by going 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points and six assists. That's the most assists O'Keefe has posted since back in November of 2024. Collins Onyejiaka was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Newman AAA smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Newman AAA's victory bumped their record up to 20-7.
