Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Vineland

Vineland entered their tilt with Atlantic County Institute of Tech on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Atlantic County Institute of Tech a 13-0 shutout. The Fighting Clan not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 22-4).

Vineland got a massive performance out of Xavier Etheridge, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Etheridge a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Carter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and three runs.

Vineland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Vineland's record is now 11-8. As for Atlantic County Institute of Tech, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Vineland will be playing at home against Egg Harbor Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atlantic County Institute of Tech, they will head out to take on Pleasantville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Greyhounds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.68 runs per game on average), something Atlantic County Institute of Tech will no doubt try to take advantage of.
