Elkin has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Elkin  scored a  run while going 2-for-5, while  Mondi  scored a  run while going 2-for-5.
 In other batting news, West Shamokin let  Madi Keirn and  Briar McClafferty loose on the outfield. Keirn  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4, while  McClafferty  scored a  run while going 2-for-4. Keirn is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aleya Talmadge, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 West Shamokin's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for River Valley, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record  this season.
