Lakeview proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lakers have posted since October 5, 2024.

Lakeview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14-1.

Lakeview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Windom on the 3rd. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Renville County West on the 3rd.
