The DeSoto County Bulldogs extended their postseason success on Friday against the Robinson Knights. Their defense stepped up to hand the Knights a 1-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for DeSoto County who now have five in a row.
Their one-goal win came courtesy of
Juan Buenrostro, who's now up to 37 this season.
DeSoto County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2-1 record this season. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9-3.
DeSoto County will be playing at home against McKeel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. DeSoto County is on a three-game streak of home wins, McKeel Academy a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch. Robinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
