The Morgan Academy Senators will head out on the road to face off against the Clarke Prep Gators at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Morgan Academy had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Bessemer Academy last Saturday as Morgan Academy made off with a 45-25 victory. The victory was just what Morgan Academy needed coming off of a 62-30 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Clarke Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bessemer Academy 51-10 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-5.
Morgan Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Clarke Prep, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
