Seth Carder of Collegiate ran for the longest rushing play in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division IV this season against Wellington last week. Carder ran for 54 yards on the play and finished with 153 on the day as his team beat the Crusaders.
Andale added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Circle, 66-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Collegiate's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Landon Root threw for 180 yards and Bret Waddell had 88 yards receiving. On the ground Carder chipped in 153 yards. Jack Copher helped Collegiate's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 51 yards.
Carder was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Luke Winter added to the ground attack by rushing for 42 yards.
Collegiate's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Spartans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Root has thrown for 943 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Waddell has 29 catches for 390 yards.
An important game coming up in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division IV this week will be when Andale takes on Augusta. At the moment, Gary O'Hair's team is in first, while the Orioles are in fifth.
The Thunderbirds lost to the Indians 66-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
