Softball Recap: Lake Center Christian Has No Trouble Against North

Lake Center Christian's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the North Vikings. The Tiger might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by 14 runs or more this season.

Shelby McCartney made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. McCartney was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cammi Stoltzfus was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Mast, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Lake Center Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lake Center Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Lake Center Christian will welcome Waterloo at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th. The Vikings are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
