The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kofa in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.
Kofa lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Calvin Barber, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Elijah Braveheart was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Buckeye's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Darius Haskin led the charge by scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Haskin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Zachary Bennett, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Kofa's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Buckeye, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-10.
