The Antwerp Archers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 57-40 victory over Continental. With that victory, Antwerp brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.
Antwerp was led to victory by Landon Brewer and Zaine McMichael. Brewer scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, while McMichael scored 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brewer has scored at least 25% of Antwerp's points. Another player making a difference was Camden Fuller, who scored two points.
Antwerp pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Continental, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Antwerp will be home for the holidays to greet North Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Saturday. As for Continental, they will head out on the road to face off against St. John's at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John's presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Continental in Ohio (St. John's is ranked 256th, while Continental is ranked 799th).
