St. John Bosco is a perfect 10-0 against JSerra Catholic since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
St. John Bosco is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: St. Louis, who was ranked first in their home state at the time (St. John Bosco was ranked first). The Braves blew past the Crusaders 49-20 last Friday. Considering the Braves have won four contests by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Koa Malau'ulu had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 175 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. St. John Bosco also got help from DJ Tubbs, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.
St. John Bosco didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Josh Holland and JaShaun Shaffer. Holland is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last three games he's played. St. John Bosco received some extra help from Ethan Coach, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask JSerra Catholic). They managed a 39-35 victory over Leuzinger last Friday. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 26.4 points per game.
JSerra Catholic's win came from a few key players St. John Bosco will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gino Wang, who threw for 319 yards and four TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Jarod Sersansie did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 89 receiving yards.
The victory keeps St. John Bosco at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.2 points on average this season. As for JSerra Catholic, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
St. John Bosco took their victory against JSerra Catholic when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 44-24 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
