The Rolla Pirates came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged Fellowship Baptist Academy out 31-28. The win was all the more spectacular given Rolla's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Fellowship Baptist Academy is ranked 108th).
Rolla's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabriella Bolin led the charge by scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Yareli Cruz, who scored nine points.
Rolla's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Fellowship Baptist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Rolla will be playing in front of their home fans against Elkhart at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fellowship Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
