The Kearney Catholic Stars waltzed into Tuesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They really took it to Ravenna for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-17 victory at home. That 45-17 margin sets a new team best for Kearney Catholic this season.
Callie Squiers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn Carnes, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Kearney Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Ravenna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Kearney Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet McCook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (McCook is ranked 98th, while Kearney Catholic is ranked 115th). As for Ravenna, they will head out on the road to face off against Southern Valley on Thursday.
