The Midway Raiders lost against the St. Pauls Bulldogs back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Midway took a serious blow against St. Pauls, falling 62-22. It was the first time this season that Midway let down their fans at home.
Despite the defeat, Midway saw an underclassman step up: Jayden Stox rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown.
Midway's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for St. Pauls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Midway will look to defend their home field on Friday against Holmes at 7:00 p.m. Holmes has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 210 points over their last five matchups. As for St. Pauls, they will head out on the road to face off against Hertford County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hertford County is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
