Basketball Recap: East Palo Alto Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

On TuesdaySan Francisco Christian kept up with East Palo Alto Academy until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Everything went the East Palo Alto Academy Bulldogs' way against the San Francisco Christian Trojans as the East Palo Alto Academy Bulldogs made off with a 47-26 win.

East Palo Alto Academy was led to victory by Dreshon Barker-Goode and Abraham Pacheco. Barker-Goode went 8 for 16 en route to 20 points, while Pacheco went 7 of 16 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Pacheco a new career-high in points.

East Palo Alto Academy's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7. As for San Francisco Christian, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

East Palo Alto Academy will challenge Mid-Peninsula at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Mid-Peninsula knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully East Palo Alto Academy likes a good challenge. As for San Francisco Christian, they will square off against Pescadero at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th.
