The Illinois Lutheran Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Heritage Christian at home by a decisive 64-50 margin. Illinois Lutheran has not had much luck with the Defenders recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Sam Adeniran and Jaden Walls certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Adeniran scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Walls scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Walls also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Illinois Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Heritage Christian, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Illinois Lutheran will take on the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-Point is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Heritage Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lakers at 7:30 p.m.
