Westfield (Houston, Texas) took the lead for the win when
Courtland Greenwood ran for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the fifth quarter and held on to upset
Skyline (Dallas, Texas) 55-48 on Saturday.
The Mustangs saw their 13-point halftime lead decrease to five entering the fourth.
Greenwood dashed for two rushing touchdowns during Westfield's triumph.
Greenwood was the top performer for Westfield. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 14 touchdowns on the season.
The Raiders came in giving up 16.8 points per game this season. Skyline had a hard time against Westfield's offense, which entered the game scoring 39.9 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Skyline, which notched a 51-10 victory over Sachse in its previous outing.
