Kyle Cox Goes Supernova in Sandhills/Thedford Victory
Kyle Cox's big game helped extend Sandhills/Thedford's winning streak to 16 on Friday. Cox turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 206 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 111 yards and four touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his 20th straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Mullen, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Cox. Cox rushed for 286 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 78 yards and a touchdown on only six passes the last time he and the Broncos duked it out back in October of 2023.

Jesse Reyes Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Maxwell got the W thanks in part to Jesse Reyes playing the best football he has all season. Reyes rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (108.6) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Maxwell's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats takes on Elwood at 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

A Season-Best Performance from Kole Jones Leads Maxwell over Bayard
Kole Jones produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Maxwell to the win on Friday. Jones rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up 0.5 sacks, made six total tackles, and defended a pass.
This year, Jones has run in 11 touchdowns while averaging 60.3 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 32.14 rushing yards per game.

Sandhills/Thedford Wins 16th-Straight Thanks to Maurice Robinson
Sandhills/Thedford picked up their 16th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Maurice Robinson. Robinson produced his best game of the campaign : he picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
For the season, Robinson has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 63.8 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 2.67 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 5.33 rushing yards.

Beau Rice Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Rounding off our Top Five is Beau Rice of Hyannis. Rice rushed for 148 yards while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (100.8) per game.
Rice and Hyannis will square off against Sandhills/Thedford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will pit Rice up against the Knights' star rusher Carter Anderson. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
