Franklin extended their losing streak  to 13  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-14 in the process. They came up short against  the Chavez Titans, falling  16-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  22-0  back in March.
As for Chavez,  the  victory  got them back to even at 13-13. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
For Chavez's part,  Natalia Dias was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). That's the most  strikeouts  Dias has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kimora Bell was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.  Wendy Ibarra was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  run.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Franklin is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Edison  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chavez will  challenge  rival Stagg  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
