Allison Ortiz-Torres was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Jordynn Witzel got the start for Bloom and what a start it was: she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Witzel posted four strikeouts, the most she's had over her last six contests.
Back at the plate, Bloom got a massive performance out of Sandy Munoz, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five runs, one triple, and two RBI. As for Rich Township, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
