The Quest Charter Academy Gators pushed their score all the way to 65 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 77-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Yorkville Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), Quest Charter Academy still had to take the loss.
Yorkville Christian found their leader in underclassman Jayden Riley, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Riley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Tray Alford was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Quest Charter Academy dropped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Yorkville Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-14.
Quest Charter Academy will head out on the road to take on Roanoke-Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roanoke-Benson is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Yorkville Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against MCC at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (MCC is ranked 407th, while Yorkville Christian is ranked 429th).
