After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cuthbertson, Myers Park was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Anna Eason, who gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Ballantyne Ridge off the board. Eason has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Myers Park let Regan Godman and Ryann Rempson run wild. Godman went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Rempson went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Sally McDonald also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Myers Park has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. Ballantyne Ridge's record is now 5-10.
